Think they’d take a Kia Forte as a straight across? I can stop by after work

No price, probable Japan import and fear of 210s and rust might not help it.
Kind of tempting though.

Do you think it is the sad tail lights?

I’m really curious what they’d need to be asking for this to happen. Here’s one that sold back in 2016 for $45K . They must be asking more than 60K. There’s a lot of money here and I’m shocked not one person stepped forward with an “I must have it” attitude.
Or is it the car is too nice to daily and not that great as
a weekend toy?

Might be a combination of things - overpriced, and as you mention, too nice (and with high running costs) to use as a DD, while being maybe too ordinary looking to have as a weekend show (off) car. I suspect they want the moon for it - usually a price omission means the seller is a little self-conscious about it.
I would like to see original data on this build, as well - I want to say those wheels are not correct for 1997.

They must be asking more than $60K, or
thinking it’s a museum piece...
and asking
$
80K.

Everything about this car - from the straight up and down rear tailgate to the slab sides to the efficient and subdued interior are wonderful. Then you get to the front end and I get sad. It’s an ugly design.

But every private party vehicle on Craigslist/Kijiji/etc are by appointment only.

Love the slabs, don’t mind the front so much.

No tirekickers. The dry rotted tires will fall apart.

I like the wagons better than the sedans. Needs the AMG monoblocks for sure.

We’ve been through this. The Oppo votes have been counted. Wagons are always best.

I’m going to guess the price they want for it has a lot do with 3 years of not selling it. I think it checks all the boxes for cool factor, but there’s a price no one will pay for everything.

No asking price listed... guess their asking price is probably too high.

Also, let me just say how much I hate dealers that have cars posted on their site with the description that says SOLD!
IF IT’S SOLD THEN TAKE THE DAMN LISTING DOWN !
